Acai bowls are all the rage right now and thankfully so! These bowls are delicious and super healthy so I am definitely jumping on this wagon!! Sambazon is the creator of the little acai packets and promises that all ingredients are high quality whole food amazon fruits and botanicals that deliver the highest level of bio-available nutrition. The smoothie packets I purchased from Whole Foods are the Acai berry singles. The acai is a known superfood and is rich in antioxidants (think red wine benefits!), contains healthy fats similar to olive oil, GMO-free and organic, not to mention this berry tastes amazing! The nutrition facts for one packet:
  • 70 calories
  • 5 grams of fat
  • 50 mg of omega 3
  • 625 mg of omega 6
  • 3060 mg of omega 9
  • 60 mg of potassium
  • 4 grams of carbohydrates
  • 3 grams of fiber
  • 0 grams of sugar
  • less than 1 gram of protein

Now on to that amazing recipe…..

Acai Berry Bowl
Prep Time: 5 min 
Cook Time: 5 min 
  • 1 packet of Acai frozen berries
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 banana (6 inch)
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup ice, as needed
  1. 1 tablespoon coconut flakes
  2. 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  3. 1 tablespoon Goji berries
  4. 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  1. Add Acai packet, almond milk, banana and blueberries into a blender and blend until well combine, if needed add in 1 cup of ice to thicken smoothie. Pour into a bowl, top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!!
