Protein shakes in the morning are awesome because they require little prep time, keep you full til lunch and taste yummy! I like to use this protein shake as a meal replacement or cut the recipe in 1/2 and use it for a snack. This shake is perfect for a grab-n-go breakfast to drink on the way to work or wherever you are headed. All you need is a simple blender and a few ingredients for an all around perfect meal! Banana and Peanut-Butter Protein Shake: -

½ cup Unsweetened vanilla Almond milk

- 1 cup of ice (5-10 ice cubes)

- Handful of spinach (optional)

- 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder (I use Designer Whey brand)

- ½ banana (less than 6 inches)

- 1 Tbsp of natural peanut butter

 

Instructions: Place all ingredients into the blender and mix it up!

The recipe yeilds: One serving. Nutrition Facts: 272 calories, 23 grams of carbs, and 22 grams of protein
