Healthy Frozen Banana & Coco Dessert

by Marla Murphy January 16, 2014

If you’re craving something sweet I've got the perfect treat! This recipe is a no brainer. Easy, simple and tasty! All you need is one banana and some coco powder and you have happiness in a bowl! This dessert is great for when you have a nagging sweet tooth but your trying to behave! This recipe is awesome for a single serving or you can make a bunch to either share or keep to yourself and save for later! This is just the beginning with this sweet treat; I can't wait to show you how to make this bad boy in all different varieties. Ingredients:
  • 1 banana
  • 1-2 tbsp of coco powder (depending on how chocolate-y you are wanting)

Instructions: 1. Cut up a banana and place in a small snack size baggie to place in the freezer 2. Freeze the banana either over night or if you want your treat sooner, at least 2 hours. If you freeze over night you might want to let the banana thaw for an hour before making this recipe so it is easier to blend. 3. Put frozen banana in the blender or food processor and blend until it is soft (like ice cream) then add in your coco powder (if you are wanting to add 2 tbsp of coco powder put one in first and blend then add in the second- it will mix up better this way!) 4. Serve and Eat! If you want the custard to be more ‘ice cream like’ place it in the freezer for a couple extra minutes!

Have you ever made this before? What kind of toppings would you use in your 'ice cream'? Love, Marla
