How to Keep Leftover Avocado Fresh!

by Marla Murphy April 15, 2014

Sometimes all you need is just a small serving of an avocado for your salad or to add to your meal but unfortunately, the next day your perfect, green, fresh avocado is now brown, slimy and not appealing. I have the perfect solution to keep your avocado fresh for at least 1-3 days (depending on ripeness)! Here is the step-by-step instructions: 1. Soak a paper towel completely in water and ring out the excess but keep the paper towel very wet. IMG_03152. Take the side of the avocado that still has the pit in it (the pit helps keep the avocado fresh) and cover it with the wet paper towel IMG_03203. Lastly, place the avocado with the paper towel into foil and wrap it up tightly IMG_0324 4. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1-3 days (depending on ripeness). The photo below is what my avocado looked like after 1 day. IMG_0440 Love,
