Happy Thursday and by this point in the week it is safe to say EVERYONE is working for the weekend and there isn’t a better way to give yourself that extra boost you need to make it to Friday at 5pm than this refreshing smoothie! Mint.Chocolate.Avocado. What else needs to be said?! I actually hated mint and chocolate together until about 3 years ago when Ryan and I moved in together and he would buy these mint chocolate ice cream bars, I never ate one until one night I was really
wanting NEEDING something sweet so I broke down and ate one and it was life changing (THIS is why you don’t leave sweets in your house people, don’t follow my mistakes)! To this day my favorite flavor is mint chocolate chip and this smoothie just hit another home run for my favorite combo! Now on to that little (life changing) recipe!
Recently I purchased a few of my most used herbs, pots, and soil and created a small little garden on my kitchen window with all of my favorites (and then some) because I hate paying 4 dollars for fresh basil that dies before I can use it all! Planting my own herbs helps save money, provide fresh herbs to our foods (which tastes amazing) and not to mention smells great!
Mint is one of the herbs I have (as you can see in the photo) I purchased it originally thinking of using it in mojitos but it is perfect for fresh salads and smoothies! Other herbs I bought are basil, rosemary (my favorite), parsley, chives, oregano, cilantro, and tyme.
