1. Start your Monday morning with a lean protein and a serving of fruit, such as a boiled or scrambled egg and a cup of berries. Avoiding simple carbohydrates at breakfast will help keep you full and decrease cravings. 2. Prepare, prepare, prepare!! Prepare all your meals for the week on Monday so you won't have to worry about it for the rest of the week. Sometimes, the last thing I want to do after a long day of work or being out and about is cooking and don't forget cleaning up. So, I grab something quick and easy which isn't always the best choice. Prepping your meals ahead of time prevents this and leads to healthier meals which keeps us right on track and feeling great! 3. Don't forget about exercise! I recommend starting your week off right with a high intensity workout such as a cardio class at your gym. If you don't have access to a gym, go for a run outside but do it in intervals, combined with resistance exercises such as push ups, sit ups, squats, lunges. These type of workouts will sure burn off those extra calories we may have consumed over the holiday weekend! What is your favorite way to get back on track after an 'off' weekend? I would love to hear! Love, Marla
