Skinny-Mini Pizzas!

I love pizza!! Unfortunately, pizza contains tons of unhealthy fats and calories that may taste good at the time but can completely derail your best efforts to fight the unwanted belly bulge. This pizza is much more guilt free and is great for when you are craving pizza but not wanting to overindulge! Busy moms on the go will also appreciate this recipe because it is picky-eater approved, healthy and quick to make. I love to pair my pizzas with a side salad and the healthy topping options are endless!
  • Small round flatbread (you can use any brand-I found our's at Whole Foods and has less than 90 calories per flatbread. Flatout mini wraps have only 70 calories!)
  • Pizza sauce (choose pizza sauce over marinara sauce to save some calories! My pizza sauce has only 30 calories per 1/2 cup, 6 carbohydrates, 1 gram of sugar and 1 gram of fat vs. marinara that has 65 calories per 1/2 cup, 10 carbohydrates, 7 grams of sugar and 2 grams of fat)
  • Mozzarella cheese (I used organic part-skim)
  • Feta cheese
  • Spinach
  • Italian seasoning or oregano
  • Chopped Bell peppers
  • Applegate turkey sausage
And other toppings you would like to add!! 1. Preheat oven 400 degrees (you can also grill these on an outside grill if you would like, but make sure to spread a little olive on flatbread before adding pizza sauce and other ingredients). 2. Place flatbread on cookie sheet 3. With a spoon, cover the top of each flatbread with pizza sauce  4. Sprinkle each with a pinch of Italian seasoning or oregano 5. Add few spinach leaves to each pizza 6. Sprinkle each pizza with mozzarella 7. Pinch of feta to each pizza 8. Add a few pieces of chopped bell peppers to each pizza 9. Cut Applegate sausage into small circles, add 3 small sausage circles to each pizza 10. Bake on 400 for 10 minutes 11. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese if desired P1030385-1024x768 Nutrition information: 1 pizza has roughly 120 - 160 calories depending on the toppings you choose!
