Tomato, Avocado and Mozzarella Salad

I love a good salad, especially when it's so fresh and full of flavor. It's easy to get stuck in the typical diet routine---boring salads, grilled chicken and some kind of diet dressing. There is no way that tastes good so what ends up happening is 30 minutes later, the hunger and cravings kick in and I am reaching for the sugary and salty snacks. If you're trying to lose weight or just trying to eat better, your food has to have flavor and should also have some healthy fats to help full you up. Avoid the boring unhealthy diet salads and try this one instead! 1 serving equals 1/2 cup: 147 calories, 12 grams fat, 4.5 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams fiber, 5.8 grams protein **Makes approximately 8 servings Ingredients:
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 - 8oz. ball fresh mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinaigrette
  • 2 tsp basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Ingedients:
  1. Cut 1 avocado into squares 
  2. Cut tomato and remove insides, then cut the remaining into chunks
  3. Cut mozzarella into squares
  4. Add all the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and toss with hands till mixed
